About Rotary
Rotary is a worldwide united service
organization of business and professional persons who provide
humanitarian service, encourage high ethical standards and help build
goodwill and peace in the world.
Rotarians carry out a remarkable
variety of humanitarian, educational, and cultural exchange programs
that affect and improve the quality of millions of people’s lives both
in their community and around the world.
Rotarians meet weekly for fellowship,
interesting informative programs with topics of local and
international importance and much fun.
The object of Rotary is to encourage
and foster the ideal of service as a basis of worthy enterprise and,
in particular, to encourage and foster
- The development of acquaintance
as an opportunity for service to others.
- High ethical standards in
business and professions.
- The recognition of the
worthiness of all useful occupations; and the dignifying by each
Rotarian of his occupation as an opportunity to serve society.
- The application of the ideal of
service by every Rotarian to his personal, business and community
life.
- The advancement of international
understanding, good will, and peace through a world fellowship of
business and professional persons united in the ideal of service.
Rotarians try to live by THE
FOUR-WAY TEST of the things we think, say or do.
1. Is it the TRUTH?
2. Is it FAIR to all concerned?
3. Will it build GOOD WILL and BETTER FRIENDSHIPS?
4. Will it be BENEFICIAL to all concerned?
